Worship
Our congregation generally follows a liturgical style of worship. The entire service, complete with music and Scripture readings, is printed in a service folder. A few times a year, at the 10:30 AM service, there will be a contemporary style of worship with praise team singers and band.
Children Youth
There is a professionally staffed Nursery next to the sanctuary. Parents are invited to leave their little ones three years old and younger in the nursery during worship.
A Children’s Sermon is always offered during the 10:30 AM service. Following the Children’s Sermon, children ages three through eight are invited to go to Children’s Church, while adults remain in the sanctuary. During Sunday school, there is a “rotation style” program for the children with a variety of exciting activities (singing, crafts, story telling, computer games) to help children learn of God’s love for them.
Individual Sunday School classes are held for middle school and high school youth.
Dress
If you come for worship, you will find people dressed in a variety of ways, from dresses and suits to casual attire. Please come dressed in a manner that is comfortable for you.
Communion
Holy Communion is celebrated at all Sunday services, except when there are special children’s programs. We invite all baptized Christians who acknowledge their sinfulness, accept Christ as their Savior, and recognize the real presence of his body and blood in the bread and wine to commune with us. The wine is offered both in individual glasses and in a chalice (common cup). Children who have not been instructed in the meaning of Holy Communion are invited to come to the Communion rail for a blessing.
