JUNE FOCUS:  SHIRK FAMILY

Social Ministry’s focus in May will be our medical missionaries in Kenya, the Shirk family.  Each year we like to show special individual support to the Shirk family for their personal expenses while serving as medical missionaries in Kenya.  They have served in Kenya for several years now and the work being done by the whole family is amazing!  LCVH supports the mission through our budget as well as special support for capital projects at the hospital through Project Hope. However, the family has personal living expenses over and above these generous support avenues. Please place your love offerings in the Sunday offering plate indicating “Shirk Family” in the memo section and we’ll transfer the funds to them for their personal use. SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL SERIES

1st—6th graders

Calling all LCVH Sunday School families! This summer, learn about 23 incredible Christian men and women who followed in the footsteps of their Savior. Each family is invited to take home a complete set of the “Heroes for Young Readers” books. Read these inspiring stories together, invite your children to complete the activity sheets (they can win prizes!), and engage in valuable conversation as families of faith. Every Sunday, we invite  your kids to gather in the Fellowship Hall during the Sunday School hour as we highlight a specific individual and discuss how their story encourages US to follow Jesus!
