SUMMER FOCUS:
COMMUNITY FOOD BANK
Social Ministry will have a food drive for Community Food Bank of Central Alabama during the month of July. Community Food Bank of Central Alabama is a non-profit distribution center that serves a 12-county region, providing millions of meals annually to individuals facing hunger. They supply food to over 300 partner agencies-including food pantries, shelters, and children’s programs-and operate direct assistance programs. Please see the hallway bulletin board for more information. The most needed items at this time include canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned or boxed meals, potato flakes, peanut butter and jelly, canned/dried beans, pasta, rice, quinoa, breakfast cereal, oatmeal, 100% fruit juice, shelf stable milk, other healthy or low fat items. Thank you for your contributions to helping our neighbors in need.
